a new SAPONIFIER … better than ever!
SILVANA, WA (SOAPWIRE) June 5, 2006 -- Lesson Number One according to Kathy Tarbox: Never be afraid to take a risk. Lesson Number Two: Never be afraid to make changes, reinvent yourself, and come out with something even better. Kathy Tarbox is taking her own advice and doing just that as she re-launches, The SAPONIFIER on July 1.
After a 4-year hiatus, the SAPONIFIER is positioning itself to re-launch with more in-depth features, technical articles, reviews, tutorials and a brand new format.
The new SAPONIFIER will reemerge as a digital magazine to the growing community of soap making professionals — continuing SAPONIFIER’S three-year tradition.
Although the format has changed, “we still embrace the same legacy of quality” states publisher, Kathy Tarbox
The SAPONIFIER is poised to recapture the hearts and loyalty of its past readership by offering its premiere issue as a free-trial to the industry.
Part of the reinvention includes bringing on Sarah-Ann Studinski as Managing Editor. Studinski, who is a 7+ year soap and body product formulator, spends time assisting new soap makers in formulating safely and successfully, teaching online classes for different soap making processes and is working on a book for new soap makers.
“We have a vast array of talented Column Editors lined up” states Tarbox. Teresa Davis, of New Moon Scents is our Monographs Editor. Beth Byrne, of Soap & Garden, is our Reviews & Interviewing Editor. Tamara Dourney, of Natural Magic Soaps will be writing the Herbal Wisdom Column and Ellen Cagnassola, of Sweet Soaps, is our Showcase Editor.
Visitors to the website (http://www.saponifier.net) will be able to see selected features and content including the premiere issue. The website and digital magazine allows the publication to reach new readership while delivering increased value to our advertising partners.
A one-year subscription—six issues, published bimonthly— can be purchased at an annual rate of $33, or $3.25 for a month-to-month subscription.
