Williams, Oregon - Herb Pharm, manufacturer of America's number one selling brand of liquid herbal extracts, today announced the introduction of Albizia (Albizia julibrissin) liquid extract. Also known as Silk Tree, Mimosa, and by the revealing name “Happiness Tree,” Albizia is a popular herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where it is renowned for its effects on the mind and mood. Herb Pharm will launch its Albizia liquid extract at the Natural Products Expo West tradeshow in mid-March.
Herb Pharm’s Albizia liquid extract is made from the stem bark of Albizia julibrissin trees, which have been grown, harvested and processed according to traditional Chinese methods. The stem bark is hand-harvested and dried, and is then custom extracted according to its unique biochemical and physical characteristics. The recommended use of the extract is to add 30 to 40 drops to a little water or juice, and take two to four times per day.
Medical herbalist, Ed Smith, co-founder and co-owner of Herb Pharm said, “Mood disorders and anxiety are complex conditions that affect millions of Americans and generate mountains of prescriptions every year.” He continued, “Although relatively unknown to the US market, Albizia is a safe, natural alternative that we feel can help a lot of people.”
